BREA, Calif. (AP) _ Willie Nelson is on the benefit concert road again, this time for a local Boys & Girls Club.
He hit Brea, Calif., on Sunday to help raise money the Boys & Girls Club's new two-story, 28,000-square-foot center.
With its 400 members crammed into a portable building and nearby athletic fields, the club is trying to raise $5 million for the building.
Nelson came to the rescue when he was approached by club board member Tom Duncan, who's trucking company has hauled the singer's concert gear around the country for 25 years.
``I've seen him in subzero temperatures shaking hands for an hour-and-a-half. How many artists would do that?'' Duncan said.
Concert tickets were selling from $175 to $20,000, with the single most expensive ticket including cocktails with Nelson on his tour bus and a round of golf.
