Local priest honored with several milestones

Not many people get the chance to celebrate three milestones in one day. But the Reverend Monsignor James Francis Halpine did Sunday; he celebrated his 75th birthday, his 50th anniversary as a Catholic priest and 25-years serving the Holy Family Cathedral.

Monsignor Halpine is one of the oldest active priests in Tulsa, and according to the members of his parish, he's in step with the times. Michael Malcom, Youth & Young Adults Director: "He's been very technology friendly for an older priest of 75-years-old. He's one of the few religious leaders in Tulsa who has a computer in his private library, and he uses it all the time."
