(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa coach Keith Burns is still talking up the positive with his team after five straight losses. He says it's all about attitude and he wishes his team had more of it.
The Golden Hurricane is 1-and-5 overall and 0-and-4 in the Western Athletic Conference. TU travels to San Jose State this week.
With last week's loss and Number Two Oklahoma still on the schedule, Tulsa's hopes of a winning season are dimming.
But things could rebound this week. The Spartans have only won once this season and Tulsa beat San Jose last year.
Freshman quarterback Tyler Gooch, who's been sidelined with a bruised ankle, may start Saturday. Also, outside linebacker Chad Smith is expected to play Saturday.
