Millions of people have been moved by the heroic story of Lisa Beamer's husband, Todd... who perished on the United airlines highjacked flight.

And while this mother-to-be may have lost the love of her life... she seems to have found a new strength.

Lisa Beamer is taking a stand and urging americans to take back the skies.

Today she flew on the same United Flight her husband Todd took on the morning of September 11th.

It's her way of standing tall in the face of terrorism.

Lisa Bemer, widow of United Flight 93 (Pittsburgh): "I don't have a sense of dread, and quite honestly, I'm not actually fearful that anything's going to happen. Obviously this morning as I got up and drove to the airport, and went through security, and even standing in the parking lot here where Todd parked his car on the morning of September 11th, is bringing back a flood of memories, and causing me to think through the things that Todd did and felt on that morning."

Her husband was one of those who didd on September 11th, when United Flight 93 crashed to the ground near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Investigators believe Todd Beamer and other passengers may have rallied with other passengers against the hijackers.

Lisa Beamer: "If I hadn't gone this morning, to San Francisco this morning, it would simply be because of my fear of flying, and my fear of what the terroists might do, and quite frankly, they've already taken more control of my life than I would care to give them and I won't give them anymore. And so I won't be held captive by fear and be held on the ground any longer."

While she's in San Francisco, Lisa will lay the ground work for a foundation in her husband's name.

The Todd Beamer foundation is designed to help children who are left from the September 11th disaster.

Lisa Bemer: We want to build youth like Todd was and who are able to make wise and courageous decisions when they need to.
She says its her way of showing terrorists that they aren't stopping Americans from leading their normal lives.

Lisa Bemer is expecting a baby in January.
