It appears a new roller coaster will be built at Bell's Amusement Park. Bell's plans to build the coaster on an empty section of land west of "Zingo."

It will be closer to a neighborhood, where residents have complained about the noise for years.

The neighbors went before the county to plead their case, claiming that a new attraction will make matters worse.

Despite their complaints, the board approved Bell's request on a split vote.

Dan Graves, Bell's Neighbor: "They didn't do it based upon whether or not it would be injurious to the neighborhood, they based it on financial considerations to the county and that's certainly not the legal burden that we had to prove, and they did not base their decision on the law.

Bell's already has a design for the roller coaster, which will be mostly inside metal buildings to help contain the noise.

They predict their business - and therefore traffic - will increase by twenty percent.
