The ban on the classic book "To Kill a Mockingbird" is over in Muskogee. The Muskogee School Board has reinstated the novel to the required reading list for ninth grade students.
School officials banned the Pulitzer Prize winning book. They said it was offensive because of the language used in it. That sparked a storm of controversy.
Three student committees reviewed "To Kill a Mockingbird" and recommended it be reinstated.
