In the wake of last month's terrorist attacks, the airline industry has made some major cutbacks including hundreds of people at American Airlines in Tulsa.

The airline is trying to reach out and help its former employees. American set up special classes at the Tulsa Convention Center for members of the transport workers union. Sue Stoll with American Airline's Human Resources “We have the state rapid response team, inform employees of resources available from unemployment to assistance with job searches." Senior union members have also met with the airline.

American says it expects two-thirds of Union members with seniority to displace newer and less experienced workers.
