OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Gov. Frank Keating and Texas Gov. Rick Perry aren't planning to make a friendly wager on the Oklahoma-Texas game this year.

Keating said the two called off the traditional bet between the governors because of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

``No matter which school is victorious Saturday, I ask all OU fans to contribute to Oklahoma based relief efforts, and Gov. Perry is asking UT supporters to do the same in Texas,'' he said.

Still, Keating said he hopes the Sooners trounce the Longhorns in Dallas. Oklahoma beat Texas 63-14 last year.

``That game was the catapult for the Sooners winning the national championship and I look forward to the Big Red using the Horns once again as their launch pad to another national title,'' Keating said.

Perry said the governors likely will resume betting next year.

``I have no doubt that next year we'll be back to the big game barbs and barbecue bets that are part of this rivalry,'' he said.
