Sooners rested, ready for Kansas State
(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says his team will be chomping at the bit to play Kansas State on Saturday.
The Sooners haven't played since September 8th. Their September 15th game with Tulsa was postponed due to the terrorist attacks, and they had an open date last weekend.
Stoops says his team is well rested and as healthy as it's been since fall camp began.
He also says he doesn't expect OU to be sluggish as a result of the long layoff. He says the team practiced well Monday and he expects a solid performance on Saturday.
The third-ranked Sooners are 3-and-0. Kansas State is ranked eleventh and is 2-and-0.
