(Tulsa-AP) -- Though his team lost Saturday to Number Ten Fresno State, Tulsa coach Keith Burns says there were a lot of positives to take from the game. Burns says his team has to look past the 37-to-18 score.
Tulsa generated 145 yards on the ground against the Bulldogs. The running game was the Golden Hurricane's weakness last season. They averaged less than 100 yards on the ground until the final two games of the season.
The offensive line protected quarterback Josh Blankenship, who went 20-of-37 but threw two interceptions. T-U's offense was on the field for 36 minutes, compared to just under 24 for the Bulldogs.
Burns hopes the offensive momentum helps Tulsa rebound this week in a trip to Texas-El Paso.
