Many say terrorism has awakened something in the American spirit. You can see it in the red, white and blue ribbons, and all of the flags displayed across the nation.
On the streets of Muskogee, many merchants are displaying old glory for the first time - as a show of solidarity, support and hope. They say it's more than just a display; it's a passion that's always been there, only now it shows. Rod Benham, Muskogee Investment Banker: "I mean, we need to stand behind President Bush on defending our country, and defending our freedom and our way of life."
Larry Moore, Muskogee Attorney: "We definitely have a reason, we have a cause, we're protecting now our homeland, that really in effect has never been invaded such as this. I think that you see the patriotism has crossed all lines. Democrats, Republicans, all races, all religions."
