(Edmond-AP) -- Central Oklahoma split end Dee Dee Carter is the Lone Star Conference's North Division player of the week.

Carter received the honor for his performance in Saturday's loss to Texas A-and-M Commerce.

Carter -- a 6-foot, 2-inch 173-pound sophomore from El Reno -- caught six passes for 163 yards. Carter also scored U-C-O's lone touchdown on a 55-yard reception as the Bronchos dropped a 24-to-7 decision to the Lions.

Carter has already caught 26 passes for 444 yards in three games this season. He leads the conference in receiving yards per game with 148.

The Bronchos host league rival Eastern New Mexico this Saturday.
