BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) _ Phillips Petroleum Co. announced Friday it will contribute $3 million to rescue and relief efforts resulting from Tuesday's terrorist attacks.

Phillips said it wanted to reach out to the victims and their families.

It also sought to recognize the efforts of firemen, police officers and rescue workers at the Pentagon, the World Trade Center and at the crash site of a hijacked jet in Pennsylvania.

The money will go to relief efforts under way at all three locations, the company said.
