A reminder of the fallen World Trade Center Towers stands here in the heart of downtown Tulsa.

The BOK Tower at One Williams Center is a near replica of the two World Trade Center towers. Thatâ€™s because both were designed by the same architect - a man named Minoru Yamasaki. His architecture firm issued a statement saying they were "shocked and outraged" at the tragedy in New York.

The Bank of Oklahoma Tower was built shortly after the World Trade Center towers. Both complexes were built as symbols of economic prosperity.

Tulsaâ€™s Bank of Oklahoma tower opened in 1975. It's a skyscraper for Oklahoma, but even at 52 stories, it is less than half as tall as the World Trade Center towers at 110 stories. The floors of the Trade Center towers were also much larger. They were big enough to house 50,000 workers.
