(Edmond-AP) -- Central Oklahoma tailback Greg Briley is the Lone Star Conference's North Division offensive player of the week.

Briley led the Bronchos to a 28-to-24 season-opening win over Western Washington.

Briley rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown on 35 carries as U-C-O upset the 25th-ranked Vikings.

Briley -- a 5-foot-10, 223-pound senior from Valliant -- sparked U-C-O's game-deciding drive with ten carries for 38 yards. He scored the winning touchdown with one-second remaining. It marked the 13th 100-yard rushing game of Briley's career.

Central Oklahoma makes its 2001 home debut Saturday when the Bronchos play host to Arkansas Tech.
