(Mexico City-AP) -- Dallas rookie Quincy Carter had impressive performance rushing and passing as the Cowboys beat the Oakland Raiders 21-to-6 last night at Mexico City's Azteca stadium
The win ends their nine-game exhibition losing streak.
Carter was 6-of-11 for 99 yards with no interceptions, and he scored on a darting 16-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
The Raiders dominated the first quarter. Quarterback Bobby Hoying completed seven straight passes and ate up more than eight minutes of the clock on a 71-yard drive.
But the drive ended with a field goal and Oakland never seemed to regroup.
The Cowboys came alive in the second quarter after starting safety George Teague picked off a pass by Hoying at the 35 and returned it eight yards.
Four plays later, Carter faked a handoff, then scrambled left, dodging tacklers on his touchdown run.
