(South Padre Island, Texas-AP) -- Eighteen-year-old Marissa Whitley of Springfield, Missouri, captured the Miss Teen U-S-A 2001 title Wednesday night.
Indiana's own Jillian Dornbush of Georgetown was fourth runner-up. The 18-year-old qualified for the final five.
Whitley was selected as the winner after answering a question about whether President Bush's daughters Jenna and Barbara have been treated fairly by the media for their recent underage drinking incident.
Whitley answered that underage drinking is a significant problem. She also said that as daughters of the President, Jenna and Barbara should be more mindful of their public stature
First runner-up was Miss New York, Gloria Almonte of the Bronx.
Second runner-up was Miss Massachusetts, Marianne Zaslavsky of Boston.
And third runner-up was Miss Texas, Katherine Perello of Lake Jackson.
