Members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church put away their dress shoes and laced up their sneakers Sunday, walking over and praying for the land that will soon house their new church home.
About a hundred members of the congregation walked for two miles along Luther Drive, which is just off of Main Street in Broken Arrow. They were followed by a convoy of slow-moving vehicles to round up their prayer walk.
Construction on the new church building begins later this fall.
