A prison inmate died trying to escape from the Conner Correctional Center in Hominy on Wednesday. 27 year old Mariano Absum was serving a three year sentence for assault and battery out of Tulsa County.
Absum tried to make his escape by hiding inside a trash truck. He was crushed to death inside the truck when the trash was compacted.
Prison officials say all trash is compacted before it leaves the grounds.
