Two people walked away from a plane crash Tuesday afternoon in the 1500 block of south 135th East Avenue.

The single-engine Piper took off from Harvey Young Airport with an elderly man piloting, and his 14-year-old neighbor. Tulsa Fire Department says the plane began having problems shortly after take-off. When the pilot turned around to head back, the plane went down into a wooded area and slid several hundred feet.

Neither the pilot nor the 14-year-old boy was hurt. The National Transportation Safety Board will look into what caused the crash
