HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Actress Katharine Hepburn was discharged from Hartford Hospital on Thursday after a week's stay for a minor infection.
Hepburn was released just after 10 a.m. and returned to her home in Old Saybrook, hospital spokesman James Battaglio said. The four-time Academy Award winner was admitted July 18 for a urinary tract infection.
Doctors said the 94-year-old Hepburn responded well to treatment soon after she was admitted but needed a few days to regain her strength and mobility.
Past health problems included arthritis, pneumonia and Parkinson's-like tremors.
During her 60-year career, Hepburn was nominated for a record-tying 12 Academy Awards and won for ``Morning Glory,'' 1933; ``Guess Who's Coming to Dinner,'' 1967; ``The Lion in Winter,'' 1968; and ``On Golden Pond,'' 1981.
