ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) _ The Texas Rangers optioned pitcher Aaron Myette to Double-A Tulsa on Monday, replacing him in the rotation with Justin Duchscherer.

Duchscherer will make his major league debut Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles in the first of a doubleheader.

He was 4-0 in six starts with the Drillers and had a 2.08 ERA. He has had 10 or more strikeouts four times.

Duchscherer (pronounced DO-shur) was acquired from the Boston Red Sox in a trade for catcher Doug Mirabelli on June 12. In six seasons in the minors, he has a record of 38-37.

Myette is 0-1 with an ERA of 10.89 in seven games with the Rangers this season. He rejoined the team on July 2 after a stint at Triple-A Oklahoma and has pitched just 4.1 innings in three relief appearances.
