The summer heat wave is making things dangerous in Oklahoma. EMSA responded to eight heat-related emergency calls in Tulsa on Friday, prompting them to issue a ‘medical heat alert.’ That ‘medical heat alert’ was re-issued for Saturday as well.

If you don't have air conditioning, health officials say you can go to the Salvation Army Center at 102 North Denver in downtown Tulsa. Folks can also go to other public buildings with air conditioning, like malls or libraries during their hours of business.

The City of Tulsa’s Human Response Coalition will meet Monday morning to discuss additional safety ideas.
