OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) _ Okmulgee officials are asking all water customers to restrict their outside watering.
The restrictions include water corporations and customers in rural water districts, City Manager Beverly Rodgers said Monday.
Customers with odd-numbered street addresses are asked to begin restricting usage on Tuesday, and all customers with an even-numbered street address should begin restricting usage on Wednesday, Rodgers said.
The cutbacks are expected to last about 10 days while a clarifier is put back in service.
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has ordered the city to make repairs to the water plant, Rodgers said.
