It happened around eleven-twenty last night in the 5500 block of North Utica.
Police say a 19-year-old man was walking down the street, passed by another man, and then suddenly several shots rang out.
Soon after, the police arrived and began their investigation.
Cpt Larry Kinney/TPD: "When they arrived they found a gentleman shot four times, laying in the street. Once in chest in the stomach and once in each leg."
Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The victim was able to give officers a description of the shooter before he was taken to the hospital for surgery. His name and condition has not been released.
Tulsa police are also looking into another shooting where several rounds were fired at man's moving vehicle.
It happened around three-thirty this morning near 32-nd Place North and Kenosha.
The victim told police he was driving along the road when shots were fired at him from another moving car.
The driver told police whoever was shooting at him, even continued firing after he crashed into a telephone pole and bailed out of the vehicle.
