Dozens of people turned out to help strangers in need Thursday at the KOTV Spirit of Oklahoma blood drive.

The Red Cross had two bloodmobiles at KOTVâ€™s studios, in downtown Tulsa, to take blood donations. 47 units of blood were collected between 7 AM and 1 PM. That will help boost the Red Cross's dwindling summer blood supply.

Thursdayâ€™s Spirit of Oklahoma blood drive raised 12 more units of blood than KOTVâ€™s last blood drive in January.
