(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma baseball standout Greg Dobbs has been named third-team All-American by Baseball America magazine.

Dobbs batted 428 with 10 home runs and 62 R-B-Is and led the Sooners in nine offensive categories.

He also was named second-team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Collegiate Baseball magazine also tabbed Dobbs for All-American honors.

Dobbs recently signed a free agent contract with the Seattle Mariners prior to the 2001 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
