(Norman-AP) -- The University of Oklahoma is celebrating its best finish in the Sears Directors' Cup competition.
Oklahoma finished 18th in the competition that recognizes the most successful athletic programs in the country.
Points are awarded based on how well teams rank nationally.
Stanford won the award with 13-hundred-59 points. O-U was 18th with 698-and-a-half.
That ranks second in the Big 12 behind Nebraska.
Oklahoma State wound up 38th nationally with 450 points.
The award has been given each year since 1994.
