BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ A man who allegedly grabbed a woman from her car after ramming it at an intersection has been charged with kidnapping.
Robert Dean Childress faces felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping and a misdemeanor count of violating of a protective order.
Police said he was waiting for Janice Richardson _ who had a protective order against him _ at her Broken Arrow home last Thursday.
He tried to grab her, but couldn't and then apparently followed her car and started ramming it near an intersection, officers said.
When the car crashed into a telephone pole, Childress grabbed Richardson and put her in his car, police said.
Childress turned himself in that evening.
