(Arlington-AP) -- The Texas Rangers have activated outfielder Ricky Ledee (luh-DAY') after putting left fielder Rusty Greer on the 15-day disabled list with a left-hamstring strain.
The team also purchased the contract of catcher Mike Hubbard from Triple-A Oklahoma to replace backup catcher Doug Mirabelli, who was traded yesterday to Boston.
Ledee has been out of action since spring training, when he suffered a tendon injury behind his left knee that eventually required surgery. During a rehab assignment in Oklahoma, he's gone 8-for-16 with three runs batted in four games.
Hubbard was batting .313 with six homers and 23 R-B-Is in 34 games at Oklahoma. During a two-week stay with Texas earlier this season, he went 3-for-10 with a homer and one R-B-Is in four games.
Greer injured himself in Monday night's game in Los Angeles. He was batting .273 with seven homers and 29 R-B-Is in 62 games this season.
