(Albany, New York-AP) -- The nation's largest issuer of Visa credit cards will pay $1.3-million in a settlement with 28 states, including Oklahoma.
First USA Bank, which is now doing business as Bank One Card Services, also has agreed to police the telemarketing firms that it allows to sell products and services to its customers.
The New York state attorney general's office says an investigation showed consumers sometimes were charged on their credit cards for products or services that they didn't think they had agreed to buy.
Bank One Card Services has admitted no wrongdoing in the settlement.
