(Ponca City-AP) -- Ponca City officials aren't convinced that there's no oil underneath E-W Marland's mansion.

City commissioners have approved a measure that allows an Oklahoma City company to drill at Marland's home, this time on the south side of the house.

Warren Corporation has already tried to find oil on the north lawn of the house, but came up dry.

John Warren, owner of the drilling company, says there's black gold beneath the oil baron's mansion.

This time the company won't drill so deep, only 2,800-feet. The company drilled 4,300-feet the first time.
