WASHINGTON (AP) _ Kohl's Department Stores Inc. is recalling about 9,600 children's two-piece pants sets after receiving a report of a child choking on fabric that easily tore off from the fleece sleeves.
Kohl's, based in Menomonee Falls, Wis., received at least one other report of a young child trying to eat small pieces of torn fabric that came off from the end of the sleeves, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
The recalled clothes, branded ``First Moments'' or ``Second Step,'' come in sizes 3 to 24 months and consist of a pink fleece top and cotton pants with a pink floral print. Kohl's sold them nationwide from September to early November for about $18.
The government advised consumers to stop using the clothes and return them for a refund. For more information, consumers can call the company at 1-800-694-2647, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST.
