It looks as if at least one retail store will have a Merry Christmas. This is the first Christmas season for the Target Supercenter in Tulsa.
Since opening in March, one store manager says they've seen an increase in traffic in the store and in their sales. Managers say the holiday season started with a boost in sales the day after Thanksgiving.
Shoppers waited outside for hours just to get their hands on hot items like electronics and toys. Store Manager Russ Eubanks says that's still the case now just two shopping days before Christmas.
He says DVD players; computer items and toys are continuing to fly off the shelves and says sales are right on the bulls eye. "We've been having an increase from what we projected. These last few days before Christmas have been really great. Lot of last minute shoppers getting stocking stuffers for their kids and family so we've had some great sales."
Eubanks believes the store's location has a lot to do with the store’s success. It's located just off the highway at 71st and 169 an area, which has many new businesses and restaurants.
