(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State finance officials are asking state agencies to estimate how things would go if budgets were cut by 20%.
That's made state tourism Director Jane Jayroe imagine admission fees at state parks and closed state resorts. Jayroe says the tourism department's already functioning at 6.5% below budget.
Jayroe says she hopes Oklahoma's state-owned Texoma resort can be privately operated within a few years. For now many needed repairs are going undone at resorts because of a fund shortage.
