(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Frank Keating has denied clemency to a death row inmate convicted of killing an Oklahoma City security guard.

Keating's office says this morning that evidence proved Ernest Marvin Carter was guilty of the 1990 murder of Eugene Manowski.

The Pardon and Parole Board had unanimously recommended clemency for Carter in November.

Carter is scheduled to die by injection Tuesday.
