(Carlsbad, New Mexico-AP) -- Valor Telecom says it will lay off dozens of workers in Oklahoma and two other states during the next month.

The company says a soft economy and industry trends are forcing the layoffs of 120 employees in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.

Valor provides long distance, high-speed Internet and data services. The company has call centers and stores in central and northeastern Oklahoma.

The layoffs will affect customer service representatives, sales associates, account and retail sales managers and customer relations specialists
