It's time for the University of Tulsa to begin the search for a new head football coach.
After three years at the helm of the Golden Hurricane, Keith Burns has resigned. He met with his players Monday afternoon to inform them. Burns led his team to a 1-and-11 finish this season and has been the subject of harsh criticism among TU supporters.
When he came from Arkansas, he signed a 5-year contract, but after three years and just 7 wins, Burns has stepped down as TU coach, saying "the bottom line is that we didn't win enough games."
His numbers at TU, 7 wins and 28 losses and a combined WAC record of 5-and-19. The Hurricane has gone a combined 2-and-21 the last two seasons.
