ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ Janavor Weatherspoon and Tony Allen each scored 17 points as Oklahoma State beat Alaska Anchorage 98-69 on Wednesday night in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout.
Ivan McFarlin added 14 points and 14 rebounds for Oklahoma State, which had seven players scored in double figures.
Shane Bannarbie had 19 points for the Division II Seawolves (1-2).
The Cowboys (2-0) raced to a 19-4 lead in the first five minutes and took their biggest lead of the half, 51-22, with a little more than two minutes left. McFarlin's nine rebounds matched the Seawolves' total for the half.
Oklahoma State stretched its lead to 71-35 with just under 14 minutes remaining in the second half.
The Cowboys outrebounded Alaska Anchorage 46-21.
