Oklahoma beat Texas last month in the annual Red River rivalry. Every year, Oklahoma's governor and the governor of Texas bet on the game.
Friday, the Lone Star state paid up. The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association presented a check to the Tulsa Salvation Army for payment. Tom Drummond with the Tulsa Salvation Army, "we will use that for people trying to get back on their feet, we'll buy ground beef with it."
The Sooners defeated the Longhorns 35 to 24.
