(Oklahoma City-AP) -- State schools Superintendent Sandy Garrett said today a task force will study the budget crisis in education.

Schools across the state have been forced to cut budgets, including layoffs, because of a shortfall in state revenue collections.

Garrett says the task force is made up of educators and will make recommendations to the legislature after the first of the year.
