GROVE, Okla. (AP) _ Phone service for Grove residents was restored after Southwestern Bell crews worked into the night.
Phone service outside of the northeastern Oklahoma town was out after workers putting in a sewer line cut the main fiber optic cable into the town.
Phone service was restored at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, said Marty Richter, spokesman for Southwestern Bell.
``They had a hard time getting to the line. It was about 10 feet down, there was a lot of water, a lot mud and a lot of rock,'' Richter said.
Residents were able to call within the city, but could not call out.
