John 3:16 is needing turkey donations

Thanksgiving is just a little more than two weeks away. And John 3:16 Mission at 506 N Cheyenne is asking for help to feed families for the holiday.

Last year more than 1,200 people showed up asking for turkeys and holiday baskets, and John 3:16 expects more this year because of so many companies laying people off. Barbara Dickenson, Director of Development "Due to things happening in the economy, a lot of people are hurting financially and they are coming to us and the need is definitely increasing, we want to be able to be here for them.â€

People can either donate turkeys or money for John 3:16 to buy them. If you have any questions call the shelter at 587-1186.
