(Oklahoma City-AP) -- An Oklahoma lawmaker is proposing a plan to allow certain types of gambling at state racetracks.
State Representative Wayne Pettigrew of Edmond says the legislation would permit Class Two gaming at Oklahoma's four pari-mutuel horse racing tracks.
Class Two games include bingo and several other similar games.
Traditional casino games and slot machines would not be included.
Pettigrew says his proposal would increase attendance at racetracks and boost the state's economy.
The legislation targets Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Blue Ribbon Downs in Sallisaw, Fair Meadows in Tulsa and Will Rogers in Claremore.
If approved, the proposal could go into effect as early as April.
