(Duncan-AP) -- The days of target practice with air rifles by the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps in several Oklahoma schools may be ending.
The superintendent of Bray-Doyles High School northwest of Duncan says the activities apparently violate federal gun laws regarding guns on school property.
Superintendent Kevin McKinley says he made the discovery while asking about insurance for a skeet shooting contest involving the school's F-F-A chapter.
McKinley says the two programs are suspended in the Bray-Doyles school district and other districts across the state with similar programs are investigating the issue.
