A tractor-trailer rig that came unhitched caused the closing of the the eastbound lane of Highway 66 just after dawn Saturday.

Cranes were brought to the scene shortly after noon to begin removing the damaged vehicle.

No one was hurt in the incident but traffic in both directions was snarled for more than four hours.
