Tulsa Police arrested a man suspected in nine purse snatchings that have happened in the past couple of weeks, most of them in grocery store parking lots.
The warrants squad picked up 29-year-old James Armstead late Wednesday afternoon. Victims in two of the cases positively identified him.
Detectives say Armstead waited for women in the parking lots, then ran at them, snatched the purses off their shoulders and took off. He'll be booked on two counts of robbery as the investigation continues.
