A Union School nurse received quite an honor Wednesday. The American Red Cross gave Sally Reibert its prestigious Clara Burton award for her efforts as a nurse at Union's Boevers Elementary.
For 20 years, she has volunteered, coordinated and donated blood. Nurse Sally helped coordinate the first drive to honor a student with leukemia. Now others are donating blood to help her in her battle with cancer. Dana Bundy, Teacher: "Because of our Nurse Sally, she's given and given and it's out turn to give back to her.â€
The school's drive expected to collect its 1,000th unit of blood in Wednesday's drive.
