It's not just the Governor's race that will be on the ballot next week. Voters will also decide on a state question that could save some Oklahomans money on their property taxes.

State question 696 would exempt up to 100 square feet of a storm shelter from property taxes. That includes safe rooms. The idea is to encourage more people to get storm shelters. Carolyn Rudluff of Sand Springs thinks state question 696 is a good idea. "I think anything that could help people take advantage of getting something for their own safety is, I think is really good."

The tax exemption would apply to shelters built anytime after January 1st of this year.
