(Muskogee, Oklahoma-AP) -- A southeast Missouri man awaits trial after saying he was an Army captain, then taking command of rescue efforts this spring at a highway bridge collapse in Oklahoma.
A federal judge ordered William Clark, of Tallapoosa, to undergo psychiatric testing at a Fort Worth, Texas, medical center.
And today his lawyer, Paul Brunton, says a doctor's preliminary statement leads him to believe Clark will be found incompetent to stand trial.
Brunton says the medical decision could be issued next week.
The Interstate 40 bridge collaps May 26th killed 14 people whose vehicles plunged into the Arkansas River.
